Them things are deadly. Probably why they have those "Watch Your Step" signs that I never look at. Anyways, I got off the subway because I was going downtown, and I had a backpack on my back that was way too heavy because I had to go art supply shopping* and I crammed over one hundred dollars of supplies into that backpack and it was really heavy (Wow, look at that beautiful run-on sentence).
Well, I was carrying a large sketch clipboard and a ridiculously large sketchbook, and it was rather a lot to manage on the escalator up from the subway. And then I sorta kinda almost fell backwards because the clipboard stuck on the step in front of me once the steps started escalating.
It may not sound like much, but it was terrifying.
*In other news, I start art classes on Monday.
I think the icon above accurately portrays my feelings on that.
Moving on.
Let's see, what else is new? Cold as always over here in lovely San Francisco; the numbingly cold wind is screeching up the hills, and the fog is rapidly encroaching in from the bay.
In other news, my goat at my dad's house - the one, as some of you may remember, that I spent forever trying to catch - was eaten by a cougar. I imagine he probably tasted quite well, considering his last meal consisted of three double-stuffed oreos, some crackers, 1.5 graham crackers, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and a brown paper bag.
I hope he gives the cougar a heart attack.
And on a quick side note, after my near brush with escalator death, I promptly crossed the street without paying attention and narrowly avoided being hit by a taxi. My life flashed before my eyes. It was surprisingly boring.
Happy Summer.
